I am a professional therapist that focuses on integrating mind and body therapies to help remove the barriers to our sense of calm and joy.
In a trusting and non-judgmental environment, the brain’s natural healing is encouraged. My approach is to employ therapies based on current research in neurobiology and psychology to enable clients to move towards their goals. I use a trauma-informed approach that combines cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, Brainspotting therapy, and mindfulness-based breathing therapy
I have been working in the non-profit mental health field for 7 years in a variety of areas including addictions and family treatment, medical clinics, and in community health centres. I focus on anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, chronic pain, grief, and managing life transitions.
I am a registered Masters of Social Work professional, supervised by a Psychologist PhD. Most benefit companies will accept this service. I am an approved provider for Veterans Affairs and am able to direct bill to Blue Cross.
Individual Adult Counseling Sessions are $140 for a 50-minute session.
I am currently offering remote video sessions through a secure e-counselling platform. Research tells us e-counseling can be equally beneficial as face to face therapy.
